What Have the Sophomore Class Officers Been Up To?

Despite the challenges of this school year and the cancellation of the Sophomore Semi, the Sophomore Class Officers are looking ahead to future projects.

“Sophomore class office has mostly been focusing on getting some fundraising done since we haven’t been able to find activities due to the pandemic,” says Co-President Brendan Manning. Despite these challenges, there are a few things planned. There are two fundraisers coming up, one at Chipotle on June 1st from 5-9 PM. The other will be all day on June 4th at Mandarin. There are also additional fundraisers planned for the start of next school year.

They have also noted that they are in search of Sophomores to volunteer at the Senior Field day at the end of the month, and are always interested in volunteers to help out when opportunites arise. If you are interested, contact class adviser Ms. Pray at [email protected] and let her know that you are willing to help out at events.

Many other RMHS clubs and activities have been successful this school year as well. “The Cards4Kindness club has recently had a very successful card drive,” says class officer Althea Culaba, “in which 100+ cards were delivered to various teachers and staff members.” In addition, the Spread Kindness club has been working on creating a tutoring program, and the GSA is now holding meetings in person.
