Justin Raimo is a man that you should know with this being his 4th year of holding the class president title at RMHS.
Freshman year, Raimo won class presidency and since then has held that title up to his senior year. The accomplished class president has proven himself to be a viable figure for the senior class. Students, teachers, and other faculty members have nothing but good things to say about the man in office.
Raimo has held many titles during his four years at the RMHS. A close friend of his, senior Kyle Marquardt, listed a variety of accomplishments that Raimo had acheived. Not only was he the class president for the class of 2025, but he is also the president of three other clubs: DECA, the drama club, and the Student Counsel. He is apart of the National Honors Society, the World Language Honors Society, and the Rockets Leaders In Action. On top of that, he held the role of checkout assistant manager at Market Basket and after that, did an internship at Harvard over the summer. Experience is something that is crucial for being class president, and Raimo has just that.
In his previous years, he’s made decisions that left the class of 2025 satisfied, and this year he hopes to be no different. For the final year in high school, the class president has a plan for his class’s senior year and things are looking really good. He mainly focuses on plans for Homecoming week, which includes fun games like a cornhole tournament and the Sunday Night Lights game. “We have a lot of fun senior events coming up,” Raimo said. He proceeded to explain that he has a lot planned for the class of 2025. “We have a senior week full of senior sunrise… We’re planning an all night party,” he said.
Vice Principal Buckley had nothing but praise for Raimo. “He is a hard worker and very collaborative with his classmates to make a difference,” Buckley said in an email. She continued, “He has been one of the voices behind collaborative decisions made about the school like Homecoming, pep rallies, spirit weeks, proms and the walk it like you ROCKET 5K.” In the email, she also mentions how he is always willing to work with members of the staff to discuss ways on how to help improve the school. Seeing how things turned out with prom and the positive responses that accumulated from it last year, his event managing should have students hopeful for this year.
Senior Ryan Graves loves the way that Raimo has performed as president. “I do think he’s qualified. He takes on a whole bunch of responsibilities and knows how to handle his time well,” said Graves. He proceeded to say that he liked the way prom was handled and gave thanks to Raimo for that.
Senior Ethan LeBovidge is also glad to have Raimo and his organizational skills leading the class. “I think he’s a really good person, you know. It’s something that a class president should be able to do and he does that.”
With this being his final year, people are excited to see what he brings the Class of ‘25. He’s gained the trust of the students with some of his work he’s accomplished as class president already, and it’s expected that he will continue doing his duty and providing the senior class with an enjoyable last year experience.
